  • Trail Maintenance – Treasure Mountain
    7:30 am-4:00 pm
    2017-07-22

    July 22, 2017 from 730 to 1600
    PATC/WCWC Treasure Mountain Project
    Meeting Location:
    Archuleta County Fair Grounds
Project Summary: Stacy Boone will be leading this project.  Project was scheduled to be a cut-out of the Spring Creek Trail but as of yesterday we are going to instead work on a rock-style wall on the Treasure Mountain Trail.  Project will require a two-mile hike to the work-site (mostly downhill’ish going and mostly uphill’ish coming back).  The road to the trailhead requires high clearance vehicles.  I can fit four people, plus me, in the truck.  This is FUN and challenging project that will require detailed work.  We will cut and move at least two logs, backfill with big rock then smaller rock and top with dirt.  It is time intensive and it is the goal to get this project finished on this day.  Plan on filling buckets and moving soil, rock and logs.
Know Before You Go:  Wear long pants and close toed shoes; a long-sleeved shirt is suggested.  Dress for the weather.  Bring work gloves, eye protection, lunch, snacks and water.

Contact: Please RSVP to Stacy at 970.946.5001. Leave a message if she doesn’t answer.
